Ana Mercedes Carvallo Parés is a Venezuelan enamellist and metal smith. With a degree in architecture from the “Universidad Central de Venezuela”, starts her metalsmith training in the year 1997 with several recognizes teacher. Two years later begins her studies of enamel on metal with the enamellist Lucero Tamayo. Since the year 2001 her works combines enamel on metal and metalsmith.

In 2002 starts taking part in the Cloisonne Jewerly Contest in Japan obtaining several awards, in 2004 obtains the "The Grand Prix Award”.

In 2003 participates in the Salón de las Artes del Fuego de Venezuela, where wins several awards. In 2005 wins the Premio Nacional de las Artes del Fuego, maximum prize of the event.

In parallel, since the year 2005, takes part in the biennale exhibit organized by the Enamellist Society.

At the moment, continues working the transgenic vegetables sculptures and developing a project name multiplus. Besides keeps a constant presence in Venezuelan and International Contests, while continues her learning process and starts a new didactic phase.
